ip pinging

Post by chocolate » 13th Jun, '13, 04:24

I'm unsure if that is the right term but anyway here goes.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to increase the speed/bandwith(?) when one pings to a different ip address in a different country.

The backstory is that we are paying RIDICULOUS amounts to our cable company purely because Mr. Chocolate wants to watch baseball (Red Sox) and despite him having the online MLB.tv subscription it blacks you out if you are in the same "area" as your team so we can't use it to watch the red sox unless we ping somewhere else. Anyway, we tried pinging to sweden and it worked but it was terribly slow - any thoughts from the great minds on this board?

thanks

VPN would overcome this problem .

Yup, VPN would sort out the problem, or check if mlb.tv is covered under something like hola.

Thanks! I sent the hola info to MR Chocolate as that seems to maybe be an option.

Witopia is a popular high=speed VPN for such things.
