It looks divine Batty. What did you sign up for?

An interesting article. My preference would be to follow the suggestion in paragraph 3 and then go and spend the money on a proper holiday.

Just to prove that I can be helpful, this place is opening soon

http://www.absolutesanctuary.com - which seems not to work

it¹s called Absolute Sanctuary (we are at http://www.absolutesanctuary.com) located on koh samui, thailand.

it¹s a moroccan-style boutique resort focused on two things: detox programs and yoga events.

for the detox side, we offer 7-day and 3-day programs based around colonic cleansing, detox drinks and herbal supplements.

for the yoga, we are inviting some of the favorite yoga teacher from around the world to host inspiring events. and we are running daily classes so you can still get your daily yoga fix while on holiday.

the property has everything you could want beautiful rooms, stunning pool & juice bar, organic vegetarian restaurant, spa & detox center, nice big yoga studio and, of course, stunning views of the gulf of thailand.

so if you are looking for an idyllic getaway, for some simple rest and rejuvenation (or to seriously clean out your systems), on a sun-baked tropical island, this is the place for you. come and hang out! we¹d love to have you.

I'd be happy to go somewhere that would provide me with a good almost vegetarian and juice type diet, massages, yoga and light workouts. Problem is many resorts dont offer that sort of food. So by going to a dedicated resort that specialises in this at least you know you will be getting what you want, not beggign the staff at some resort to please give me real orange juice type thing.

To my horror Poss has told me I have "inspired her" to get fit and is off for her first kick boxing lesson [smilie=w00t.gif]
"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"

There seems to be a mistake. There doesn't seem to be any way you can get beer....

Who wants to open up a Luxury retreat with me ? A couple of Thai lady boys giving the massages, a qualified plumber for the irrigation work. Just need a barman and a chef. We could make a killing.
So…if you wish to wish a wish, you may swish for fish with my Ish wish dish.

Ladyboys for the massages. Want to make sure our clients feel safe and unthreatened during the intimate contact.

Of course the sports and activity staff will consist of nothing but bikini clad nymphs.

What is your target clientele Baloo? A bar and ladyboys sounds like you are trying to get the FB's of the world in :)

Awww sweet! Put I'd prefer nice young dark skinned men to massage me (make it all a bit more exciting), would be saving you a salary as no barman required as we can't drink and as for sports and activity? Does book reading and sunbathing count as sports and activity - I dont think so :)

Actually the more I think of it, I could start up something like this in Ulu Seletar! Would only have to hide the gin and get a nice young man organised for massages. No need for colonics, a few cups of poo tea a day would sort the clientele out and I have a pool to sunbathe by and a spare bedroom that I could turn into a guest room and the dining room into the "zen" space. Hmmmmmm

GIrls dont have bottoms so its only for boys.

Introducing the New Ms Possum [smilie=aikido.gif]. After a two hour session (serves her right for challenging the guy she went to see for a 15 minute assessment) she is now unable to move and is stuck lying on her bedroom floor with only a mobile in reach :)

I heard Como Shambhala Bali is really good. They even have David Swenson coming in June for a retreat. An independent yoga instructor highly recommended it.

The Uma Ubud also has similar retreats/programmes, but a little bit cheaper.

I took a 5-day Ashtanga yoga intro in Shambhala Singapore, and it was excellent. The quality of instruction is a few levels above those crappy gym yoga sessions.

Another option (if you feel a little more adventurous) is the Surf Goddess Retreats that offer all-in-one yoga, learn-to-surf/surf, and spa package.
