I don't know if this info is still valid as it's a while since we left, but look up:
Naturally Marketplace - Vivocity
Brown Rice Paradise - Tanglin Mall
Supernature - can't remember what road that's on but it's behind Tanglin Mall.

Re: Gluten Free products in Singapore??
I've seen some gluten free things in Cold Storage Jelita & probably Great World City as well. Check their 'health food' aisle. Their organization is, of course, very poor, so you'll probably have to spend some time really looking over everything on the shelves. It's also possible that they sometimes put gluten-free stuff on the regular shelves with the regular stuff -- I'm thinking pancake mix in particular. Dream Rice Milk sounds familiar, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll try to remember to look next time I'm in the store. When are you coming?
Re: Gluten Free products in Singapore??
There is a bakery here that does it, but can't remember name, let me send you email link when I get the next one.
"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"

Re: Gluten Free products in Singapore??
Kooky - thanks I will check out the list of places. I will go to all of them.
Slinky - Dream Rice Milk is the best ricemilk. I tried so many brands and they were just horrible. It would be great if you can let me know if you see any in the supermarkets.
Aliya, Furbaby - Yes, I have heard that Cedele does gluten free bread:-) Thanks..I will try that too!
Gosh, where do people with Celiac Disease in Singapore eat or shop for food!!
I am in Singapore for the the first 2 weeks in December. I cant imagine travelling to singapore with a bag full of gluten free products to last me two weeks!! I can get gluten free products everywhere in the Uk and Germany. I would think should be fairly common in Singapore too.
Thanks girls..!

It's easy to avoid gluten in Asia (easier than here with the sandwich culture, actually) - just make sensible meal choices.
Not that I do, but I know the theory.

If you eat out in Singapore, you cant avoid MSG? Almost everything has MSG! But I do agree on the sandwich culture. It is the same here, germans and their rye bread..

Re: Gluten Free products in Singapore??
I saw something called 'Rice Dream' milk in CS Holland Village this morning -- is that the one you like, Diana? If so, if it's at the HV Cold Storage, I'm sure it's at all of them.
Edit: Pretty sure it was this one -- chocolate & other flavors:

Re: Gluten Free products in Singapore??
OK, just had to run up to Jelita - they also have the Rice Dream I listed above. As well, they had a fair range of Orgran (gluten free brand) dry goods like pancake mix, bread mix, cake mix, etc. I saw rice flour and some gluten free cookies also. It was all in the health food aisle (which at CS Jelita is across/facing the bacon & other packaged meats). Given that I doubt there was anything at all gluten-free in Cold Storage 5 years ago, it looked like a fair showing. Now, I have no idea how well they keep it stocked - ie. if/when things sell out, how long it takes them to re-stock.

Slinky- I think I love you. You just made my day! Thanks so much for checking this for me. My mother's home is in Clementi nearer to Pandan Valley. This works out perfectly for me. I am going to stock up the minute I get there.
Do you live around HV ? I must take you out for coffee to thank you when I am there..

Re: Gluten Free products in Singapore??
The Jelita CS has a fairly good range of gluten free stuff etc like Slinky says. So looks like you are in an ideal situation because a lot of the other CS don't have them at all. Stock replacement is pretty much like everything else in CS, OK most of the time but the odd things are out for ages. Shouldn't be too bad Diane.

I think I saw that milk in CS at Cold Storage today too. They had a section of "specialist" stuff which may have been gluten free but it wasn;t clear. Could try there if Jelita runs out.

Found it! Sells gluten free flour all sorts of things, give them a ring and get on their emailing list, really good stuff.

Jason's in Orchard Towers used to have a gluten-free section, not sure if they do anymore. Not sure if Orchard Towers is there any more either, heard they were knocking it down.
