Vitamin B
Does anyone here take a Vitamin B supplement?
I ask because I try to take one but it makes me nauseous - I took it today maybe an hour after I'd eaten breakfast so maybe I need to take it with my food/more food?
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Re: Vitamin B
I do and yes sometimes feel nauseous and then try to skip a day or two. I always take it right after or with food.
Life is comprised of infinite possibilities; some known, others a mystery and destined to remain so. And what of the vast unknown, the realms beyond which knowledge has no established boundaries or parameters? Who is to say what exists or what is possible?

Re: Vitamin B
I don't take a specific vit B but, as you know, I do take a lot of supplements. I always take them immediately after food. I can't take them on an empty stomach.
If you take any other supplements, try spreading them out across your meals.

Re: Vitamin B
pretty much most supplement instructions say to take with food, or immediately after. If I take them, I shove them in with a bunch of food.
if I haven't much on the stomach, it's blurgh.

Re: Vitamin B
Berrocca sorts out all that. Though remember, there's lots of vitamin Bs (not just one like vit C) so you need to see if each vitamin is the right amount.

Re: Vitamin B
Just seen that nicotinamide does not have the same toxic effects as naicin, so maybe your suppliment has naicin as it's Vit B3 suppliment and not nicotinamide.
Naicin is converted into nicotinamide in the body. Toxicity of the two differs, but my source seems slightly contradictory on which one is worse.

Re: Vitamin B
Which vitamin B? there's 8 of them!
More info on Wiki
B6 is the one that if taken at 10 times the dosage of Berocca (which is 5x the RDA) can cause some nerve damage. And I would think you would have to take it regularly and not just once.

Re: Vitamin B
I want to take more vits but they also make me ill, even after food.
I thought for a long while it might be the selenium used as a binder and supplement, but not really sure. It's not that easy to separate it all out and find the offensive ingredient.
Having said that, I've been dubious about products from GNC and the like and wonder if they are any good or even detrimental.

Re: Vitamin B
Hey
i meant to check FB which Vit B i have, I'm pretty sure it's a complex of all the Vitamin B's.
I actually take it Furbaby to help my dodgy nerve endings. People lacking in it can have problems with nerves which i do.
I'll look tonight and see, maybe it's too high a dose for my size and maybe i should take it directly after my food.
Thanks people!

Eat meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, and you won't need vitamins in tablet form.
