seriously it has been an odd week - who's out of work at the moment and bored ???

Re: I'm really not very well today
Damn, it happened again. Mother of all asthma attacks Chest pains, neck pain, the lot. Had been leading up to it for a couple of days but last night I just could not catch a breath.
I can now report that inner city Sydney A&E departments are a scary place to be at 1.30 in the morning.
Actually the RPA one was pretty scary when we arrived about 10pm, as one woman was refusing to leave despite having been discharged 4 hours earlier. The incredibly drunk young woman insisting on sleeping on the floor in the middle of the treatment area, and her two male companions offering to "smash the place up" if they couldn't go outside for a smoke, were particularly appealing. They had all already been arrested. Two were threatening to kill themselves. (Fine, just do it quietly and neatly, will you?) It was not long after this that we left without waiting for the note for my doctor.

As if it isn't scary enough being unable to breathe without having to put up with all of that. I have great admiration for those who work in A&E departments, their life is always full on, and some of the stories they tell are unbelievable.
Hope you are feeling good again now Kooky!
