Yeah, saw that. Looking for some low-dose stuff now (typical dose in a pill is 300mg, a reduced dose of just 75mg seems to do the trick).

Depends if you're always in pain and therefore always taking it. My belief is that you have to have it on board in small doses all the time, hence a low-dose once a day being suggested.

FB, buy a pill bottle and a box of 300mg tabs. Break the tabs into quarters and put them in your pill bottle. Hey presto.

You can get pill cutters that are also containers in Guardian or Watsons; I had to do that with my thyroid meds in Sg.

I thought about breaking tabs, just too much hassle.

I didn't know you could get pill cutters though. Will look for that when I head shopping tomorrow for AUD.

There's low-dose aspirin (Cartia, Bayer/Aspro Protect, etc) available, which is marketed as having a coating which prevents the aspirin from being released until it reaches the intestine where it's released more slowly, the idea being to minimise stomach irritation and deliver the dose more slowly than regular aspirin.

Low-dose is sold in supermarkets in Oz. I think they're 100mg.

About a year ago I was looking for baby aspirin, for myself, for similar uses. I found low-dose pink ones, but not the buffered type I remember as a child.
