KL
I don't really follow you. Unless you mean you don't like KL. In which case I don't really agree with you.

Perhaps you'd like to elaborate?

Well, my verbose little friend, that doesn't really clarify things much.

KL, being a big city, isn't really my fav place either Dino, but I wouldn't call it hell. It's quite a sprawling place, so I'm sure it's got a lot of great things going for it, along, undoubtedly, with some crappy things.

But my post was more aimed at the many many enjoyable facets that Malaysia offers, especially away from the big city, yeah, such as Penang. But also the northeast and the east, the countless breathtaking islands in the Seri Buat Archipelago. But also Melaca and of course the huge national parks. And not to forget the awesome makan.

Tioman :I have been there once and as I don't dive I have no desire to go back . Stayed at ABC very average beach and crap food

Malacca ok for a day can't see any reason for going back

Langkawi pretty but dull as ditchwater at night . I was once there for 8 days and was losing the will to live by the end

Cameron highlands : been there once quite enjoyed it I may return

Genting : well it's not humid that's about the best thing about it

Shall I go on

Best not, given that you're already way over your quota :)

Anyhoo, you name me one country that is all good. Other than England of course, haha.

I don't work for Malaysia Tourism. But I enjoy being in Malaysia; the pace of life is great, the people generally enjoy the simple things in life, the food rocks, the beaches are awesome. And there' still so much real unspoiled wilderness to explore.

But then, my perspective is obviously different from yours.

Innit.

I've only been to Langkawi once but I thought it was fabulous (apart from Kuah Town or whatever it's called). Very nice beach. The hotel we stayed in had a quite lively bar. I guess it all depends what you want to do in the evening I guess. I think I'd find it too quiet to live there though.

Last year I visited Malaysia to spend holidays with my family and this time I am planning to see Thailand and beautiful Koh Samui beach and I want to hire Koh samui villas rental services, any suggestions?
