Yes... Rouge in Singapore is the little sister of the original Ambre in Phnom Penh. Romyda started Ambre first, then extended it out to Saigon, then Singapore, bali etc. You can find Rouge label at Gaia in Saigon, also prolly find it at the Raffles in SR as it also retails at the gift shop of Le Royale in PP.

Great trip to Siem Ream, low season so not too many pesky tourists to spoil the atmosphere at the Temples ;) Only one afternoon called off due to monsoon type rain, retreat to the bar was in order! Nice cool evenings for wandering around the dusty little town.

Stay : Hotel De La Paix - lush, got upgraded to a 2 storey suite. Can I move in please?
Eat : AHA, Cafe Angkor, FCC, Sugar Palm
Drink : Arts Lounge, FCC, Picasso, Miss Wong

Didn't get to HCM as flew via Singapore, another city for another time perhaps.

Speaking of Singapore, a few new venues (for me, anyway) - Lantern Bar is pretty cool, Graze restaurant at Martin Rd , nice brekkie at Food for Thought at the Singapore Arts Centre. Dinner at an oldie that haven't been to for a long time - L'Angelus on Club Street.

So, what's next....

Hotel de la Paix looks brill. Am planning on a December visit - thanks in part to Lichty's post re the great SQ offers at the mo from EU.

Now, how did you wangle that Duplex suite?? ;)

Don't think my budget's gonna stretch that far but the garden suites look pretty good too.

edit: spelling/grammar usw.

Originally had a Garden room but there was a problem with an incredibly noisy aircon unit above. Asked nicely to be moved....which the hotel organised the next morning, and was very happy to put up with that minor inconvenience when they opened the door to my new room...or should I say suite [smilie=groovy.gif]

OK, I'll make sure to ask for the room with the dodgy aircon!

Just in case the board remains read-only (I used to love browsing the travel tips).......

Stayed in SR for two weeks. Pavillon D'Orient and Shinta Mani both highly recommended places to stay.

Food: Haven, New Leaf and Touiche all great spots.
