Has to be the best new TV series I have seen in a long long time....9.5 out of 10.
A MUST watch

I almost started a thread but wondered if they'd even allow this to be screened in SG

By far the most ambitious project ever attempted for the non cinema screen. They've created a whole world from top to bottom

I watch it regularly - find myself wondering what is going to happen when 10,000 Dothraki horseman cross the poison salted water on wooden floating chariots etc

Very Very good but despite its intial appearance it is NOT for kids
I try to take one day at a time but sometimes several days attack me at once!

Tried the book - tough work. Tried the first episode, again, tough work.

May have to try again.

Its not shown here. It plays in the States on a Tuesday evening and we get it soon after. I agree it is most definitely not for children, there are some scenes where the prude in me jumps out! I have just brought the first book but can’t make-up my mind if to start reading it or just let all the plots unfold on the screen in front of me. Book or series/movie….which is better first?

I lost interest after the second episode. Too many things going on in the show.

Must admit, from what I have heard about it I was shocked to see you recommending it, bearing in mind your reaction to my topless holiday snaps [smilie=rotflmao.gif]

I close my eyes during thsoe bits :)
It takes a few episodes to get your head around all the characters but once you do the plot, dialog and actors are superb.
