Jiro Dreams of Sushi

Post by nev » 28th Jul, '12, 15:22

At first I thought it was going to be the same kind of food porn you get from the Food Network, but I was so wrong. Jiro Dreams of Sushi was a surprisingly profound and refreshing lesson in diligence, perseverance, honor and pride in what you do for a living. There are sushi shots, of course, but they were clearly not the focus of this documentary. Very well-edited and paced - I didn't realize it was 1 hour and 22 minutes long until it ended.

Highly recommended. Amazon carries the DVD, there should be a link to Amazon at the bottom of this thread ;)

Edit to add that I just realized this is currently showing at Golden Village.
