Brunch at Senso
OK, OK, we went in Feb and had a great time, but this is not a review frrom that time, it;'s a review from yesterday!
Food quality: 5 stars (great range of anti pasta, pasta and meats, didn't try the sweets)
Price: 5 stars (S$78++)
Service (did my glass ever get empty for more than 2 mins?): 5 stars
Extras: they bring the food to you, cater well for veggies.
Overall? Well, I'll be going back again!
Excellent work by them, the place is nice and bright, there's an outside part for those that like the heat (or like to smoke) and several inside parts useful for those that don't like being a sweaty mess. Treated very well again by the wait staff, and well worth the price. I think we all made it up to $100 per person due to the level of service being exceptional.
It's a cut above the hotel ones I've been to recently, and has a more relaxed feel with very much less noise and bustle. If you've got a brunch to organise, you could do a lot worse!

I was at Senso yesterday too. Food and service good but the trick is they charge you an extortionate sum for water, which makes the bill up to well over $100 rather than the $78 you expect. Wonder what they'd say if you demanded tap water instead of over-priced mineral water.
Prayer has no place in public schools. Just like facts have no place in organised religion.

Nah, even he wouldn't have paid that much for the water.Burbage wrote:You need Jesus!Spike wrote:I was at Senso yesterday too. Funny isn't it? For a bloke who could manufacture wine of an allegedly superior quality with virtually no overhead he was pretty broke.

Re: Brunch at Senso
Errrr....why don't you just ask them doe ice water, like we did?
Hell, McDonalds taught me that trick. If someone asked for fries, you asked them "Would you like large fries?" with the answer more times than not being "yes please". You would not ask them if they would like "regular, medium or large" as that gives them a choice.

It's the Italian garden restaurant on Club Street.
Full dinner and lunch menu - or it used to have, anyway. And a nice little pre-dinner bar to kick off.
