Couldn't quite believe the response myself, Biggy, but I'm very grateful for it.

16? Really? Shit.
Yup. I've been keeping an eye on the number of wake-ups to go. You may not have noticed. I have been very discreet.

16 to go...yay.

This is the bit where I admit to having a Boy Who Cried Wolf moment regarding your countdown.

Actually no - I didn't think anyone would be daft enough not to realise I want this to clean more often than I already do with the big one. :P

Well I know you've all been losing sleep, wondering if and what I bought.

It came down to a choice between:

http://www.blackanddecker.com/ProductGu ... ctID=20844

and

http://www.blackanddecker.com/ProductGu ... ctID=17191

and I decided to go for the 2nd one. The power difference was not great, the one I got is slightly lighter and easier to store, and I didn't think the pivoting nozzle was that important.

Oh, what I wouldn't give for a pivotting nozzle.

How much were those? I might consider one.

IIRC the pivoting one was $169 and the other $129, but they were DJ prices so you might get them cheaper elsewhere. DJ was giving away $15 in gift vouchers with the first one.

Will be trying it out soon. Deep joy.
