Argh! Plumber needed

Post by cromasaig » 16th Jun, '09, 12:50

The babysitter decided to help with the potty training by using and then flushing vast amounts of babywipes down the toilet. Sigh.

Any recommendations for a cheap and efficient plumber who can come and unblock?

Thanks B. Just spoken to him, and he apologised that he might not be able to make it till 3pm. That's what I call service!

He's been, he's unblocked, and Baloo, his conversation was exactly as you said it would be! [smilie=rotflmao.gif] [smilie=rotflmao.gif] [smilie=rotflmao.gif]

Done and dusted within a couple of hours and $40. We like him. [smilie=bowdown.gif]

yeah, he's good for stuff like that. not a great finisher of things so best keep him to do the grunt work. he's very practical in his solutions, not creative.

Not surprised by the conversation at all :)

I should ask him to sponsor the site but with the rates he charges he couldn't afford it.

I think his 'porum client list is:

Me
Possum
Fat Bob
Fresh Mint
Slinky
Batwoman (Batty was the only one not happy with his services, hence the new disclaimer that he's not a one for creativity)

$40 to get up to his armpits in dirty nappies? You should be hiring him for baby sitting as well.

Good, I can use him too. Slow drainage. I fixed the kitchen but can't undo the bits in the bathroom.

I just had Heng here to tackle a shopping list of little irritating plumbing problems, and he was great. Wanted to add that he does general all-purpose fix-it kind of things, too. We have a sliding pocket door that had come off the rail. I'd called the NTUC household services number and they sent a guy over who told me that in order to fix it, he'd need to cut a hole in the wall. Heng took one look at it, figured out how to get in there and did it in about 15 minutes, no hole in the wall, charged $30 bucks and it's done, no muss no fuss.

A+
A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

I'd say that might dispel any creativity issues then

Tho' I can't say much for his self-esteem. His namecard says "Heng OK Services."

That's similar to Oklahoma vehicle license plates that read, "Oklahoma is OK" Can you image Texas saying Texas is...OK
I guess we're not in Kansas anymore.

Last month my toilet bowl was chocked.
I went online to search for Plumbing Services and i found a website http://www.idrinktoiletwater.com/
I called them up and they came down my house to help me fix the problem.
I find that the service was quite good and the price is not very expensive too, only $400 call out fee plus $550 (+GST) for unchoking fee.
My toilet now happy, unchocked and ready to receive all the bullshit I type into expat forums hoping to dribe more business to myself.

I am sick to death of people joining just to complain about a particular business.

If you have a problem with someone, go to CASE, the police, your grass roots leader, the Vatican or start a Twitter revolution.

From now on anyone doing this will have their IP address, email and whatever personal details I can find through secret internet stuff and passed onto the company you are abusing.

The Admin.

Heng was great, he was on time, did the job quickly, and charged reasonably. Thanks for the recommendation!

I will be Heng's next customer sometime next week. He gets load of business from this site i think. Good publicity. Am going to evaluate if he's as good as claimed here. :D
