My last advice is to whoever does the logo at the end is to try to be consistent with the other fonts used here -- the buttons seem to use a helvetica/sans-serif fonts, so if the font for the title is too different, it may make the design inconsistent?

I personally like splogo1a - very simple, I know - but it is similar to the style used in the buttons and throughout the Singaporum.

Sorry, it's the virgo side of me. Haha.

Try as I might I couldn't replicate your logo with smooth edges. Fancy knocking one up tonight ? I did like that very Far Eastish font

Cursive it is then ... Jedi, I may have a similar font to what you used before.

Played around with more cursive fonts and sticking with white.

Three more - that's it -- am going to tinker around in the garden and enjoy the cool change.

The font is not the problem - the font effects i'm using can't be saved to a gif because you will lose the transparency effects. The only way to retain the effects is pre-blend the logo with the background image. Creating a gif logo and then overlaying it to the background is really going to limit what you can do with the logo, other than basic text and very simple effects.

Font name is Papyrus.

Case in point - the logo just enabled. It's very clearly a case of text stuck on a photo, as opposed to text and photo combined. I know this conflicts with your desire to easily change text but retain photo, but there's a tradeoff for that flexibility.

Baloo/Jedi, papyrus is a pretty thin, it would still be really jaggedy unless as Jedi says that the font is incorporated into the background, so it could be properly anti-aliased.

Here's one with papyrus.

I guess I could try giving the text a darkish blue background to match the image and try to blend the background out to possible black, then make black the transparency colour. Then the image edges should be less noticable with the actual font being complete.

Try sp06, loo.

edit: kinda messy, but could work.

Want me to try papyrus using a dark transparent colour? The problem with that is that if you do change the background picture regularly, the logo may have to be rejigged.
