Is the Birthday function working okay?

Post by Dinosaur » 11th Sep, '09, 17:54

Is the function working okay? When I checked on here a couple of hours ago - that would be about 4 pm Singapore time I guess - no birthdays up, now I see Burbage's birthday. Also note that first posting from Kooky said A Bit Late. I'm on Thai time so 1 hour behind Singapore - not that major a time difference.

You're on retired time, so who cares when it all is?!?!?

Can think the birthdays maybe linked into a certain timezone, and I know the board clock is off.

I didn't see it before I posted, so I was puzzled too.

I'm on Swindon time, of course.

edit: which makes it about 1973.

Or just maybe, when kooky posted the birthday greetings, the forum and it's proprietry AI detected it and changed Burb's profile to add his birthday in. The board was clever enough to guess the year too.

You're just jealous :D

The previous birthday, can't remember who it was, I think the same thing happened as I was late posting Greetings. I didn't think much about it at the time, just presumed I had missed it somehow. Any way of knowing when the next birthday is and I'll do a check throughout the day?

PK, scan the members list and write down everyone's birthday, if they have it listed. But no fear, the board isn't faulty.

FB, sure, I can replace so it shows you cute kitten videos.

hmmmmm. Not good. In my experience web hosts that let the servers lose time sync tend to be the ones who will be out of business soon.

Might have to try and find a new host for this site. Shame, this one is free.

I've just gone through the members list and clicked on about a dozen I guess and cannot see any birthdays - so cannot lah. I can see peoples' ages in some cases.

I disabled it. Trying to fox all those people who think it's fun to fly stuff into buildings on my birthday.
