Actually think it's quite important topic for understanding the British (and I think you're also doing Aussie one aren't you separately? The colonies inherited that system of law). And these are quite important points of distinction between say American and Commonwealth citizen expectation - and personally I think they have impact on the overall culture (sense of rights, expectations, Trade Practices Act for protecting consumers, right & wrong etc). Just really comes down to the skill of the presenters in making those social links to make it relevant to the audience on a human level. Not just sticking up dry slides!

I was thinking about this today as Mini asked me "Where's Mummy's milk".

If you show them Little Britain they'll think we all breast-feed till our kids are 30!

Stiff upper lip is a good trait?

Yes, Satellite, it is. At least as I understand the term. No use for whiners and complainers.

One of my friends is working for an Expat relocation company here and is going to send me some 'Welcome to the UK' materials which may be of relevance.

Plus it's been too bloody cold and wet to make the trek to HMV....Indian Summer my [smilie=cul.gif]

Yeah right.

One week back in the UK does not mean you can revert back to the only 1 bath per week routine..... [smilie=tease.gif]

Actually it's cleared up a little so now just cold rather than cold and wet. But hey, no-one visits the UK for it's weather!

You'll need more than a stiff upper lip to blance me, I'll assure you.
I guess we're not in Kansas anymore.
