Vape City

Post by skank-la » 27th Jun, '13, 11:40

Vaping -really a big deal here now. This has got to be hurting the cigarette companies hard. Is it everywhere? How bout you guys overseas? Is Europe also in on this too? I dont smoke but more than half the people I know who do now vape instead

Is this only a West Coast/Big City Thing? The tobacco companies must be sh**ting bricks, here in CaIifornia all their customers have switched to nicotine laced flavoured vapour instead of smoke. Vape cafes are everywhere where you can create your own blends etc. Literally everyone here that I know that was a cigarette smoker is a now vaper & even weirder its like this new culture etc.

Lots of these places around Cali

I've seen a few in Singapore, it's nothing like what you're describing though. California thing?

Its really huge here & of course all the little vaporizers are made in China -a huge new industry

Supposedly its a 'smoke free' tobacco experience. People get away with using them where cigarettes are banned
as they aren't 'smoke'

I'm not sure how to weigh in on making nicotine addiction a cool experience. We've just gotten to where kids don't pick up the smoking habit these days

Interesting side note, Took the skankster to Las Vegas & he absolutely hated the place. He & his generation have grown up in basically smoke free environment. Everytime we went inside those casino/entertainment complexes he couldnt take the smell & smoke - he want to leave as soon as he could find an exit to fresh air

another look at this huge new market

I've never heard of this. I struggle to avoid nicoteine myself, because I'm a powerless junky when it comes to that drug. Vaping may sound "cleaner" because the drug comes without the rest of the toxic crap in the smoke, but it's still feeding an addiction. If I'm jonesing for a smoke or jonesing for a vape, I'm still jonesing, and that, for me, is the ugliest part of cigarettes.

Skank, is there a danger of non-smokers being around the vapor who get addicted to nicoteine as a result?
A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

I've tried them before and they really are amazing compared to smoking. No mess, no smell, can smoke at your leisure (ie. no need to smoke a whole cigarette, just have a puff or 2 when you feel like it). The only hassle with them is they are quite heavy to hold (compared to a cigarette) and the batteries tend to go flat quickly.

When i tried it, it was with a zero nicoteine cartridge and honestly i didn't miss the nicoteine. Just the action of smoking was enough to replace the need to smoke a real cigarette.

I'm not sure whether there are any additional health issues with inhaling vapour. I don't think any official health studies have been done yet, but it's gotta be better than smoking cigarettes.

How about ditching the e-cig part and just opening a bar and pumping it full of nicotine vapour? You could even do it without telling your customers to get non-smokers addicted so they keep coming back and spending money alcohol
