H1N1 Morons

Post by Addadude » 22nd Jun, '09, 11:47

So, 2 of my beloved's colleagues come back from a trip to Japan and proudly announce that they were just told that they were sitting next to a confirmed H1N1 case.

One of these colleagues was already feeling feverish and the other had the sniffles. They both came into the office on Friday and worked the whole day despite feeling unwell. Their bosses approved of their work ethic.

This morning, the two colleagues received calls from MOH to return home immediately as they are now under quarantine. Me thinks too little, too late?

Nope. Neither are the rest of the people in my significant other's company... yet.

holy cow, that's not the hypochondriac singaporean behaviour I was used to!

Q: Were they Singaporeans? Most Singaporeans I know would have worked themselves in a coma by now, convinced they were on death's door. They would have gotten "MC" for at least 30 days oreddy.

Both were Singaporeans. Maybe they were scared about losing their jobs... The company in question is very 'gung ho' and macho about working through illness.
