Putin Compares U.S. to Parasites

Post by Joseph27 » 3rd Aug, '11, 11:28

So whilst debt payments can still be serviced (in the short term) by the US, it seems no one is happy with the deal on either the left or right of American politics and the markets have had a few shockers as news settles in. So whats the medium to longer term trends here - is the US economy and dollar prevalence a parasite on the world economy or the engine that keeps driving it forward?

Putin's comment does seem to capture some of the global disbelief at America's internal political dialogue - so in light of America's inability to govern itself more effectively - and Europe's currency woes, where the hell does the world go next? Maybe $1600 for gold is comparatively very cheap compared to where its heading

Sorry Putin, we got you with the "Evil Empire" thing and your attempted comeback, in addition to being ridiculously slow, is lame.
