I think you're confusing the palm with Mrs Palm and her five lovely daughters.

My Dell XPS M1330 has just been delivered. YAY! And yes, it's pink
Now, where's the ON button?

Re: in the market for a laptop
Which one fits your requirements?
My next laptop will have to have Wireless N and have a screen size of 12-13", preferably weighing less than 2kg. And purchased from outside of Singapore as they are bloody expensive here!

That's exactly what I'm thinking about getting, so let me know how you get on with it. Can I be dull and ask what spec you went for?daffodil wrote:My Dell XPS M1330 has just been delivered. YAY! And yes, it's pink

And in her defence, people, the choice is only between black, blue and pink. I really wanted red but will probably have to go for blue. Just don't think I can carry off a pink laptop!

Aliya, get an Apple. It's the best solution for you. Might be a tad more expensive but it's the Prada/Gucci of laptops.

The XPS1330 is probably my next laptop. Currently got the 710m which is a predecesor to it, very happy with it after 2+ years, though know it will one day need to be upgraded.

FB, while I don't have the luxury of my usual It Isn't Out Yet Syndrome, there is this on the horizon
http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/notebooks/ ... 92p,00.htm
though it's not a 14" or 13.3" monitor, there probably will be in this new line
I'm finding you're right about the cost in Singapore, could do much better outside.
I'm slightly warming to Dell, they're less-than-sexy, but have good service. Not keen on the keyboards like I am some others.

Re: in the market for a laptop
so, I finally bit the bullet and got this: http://todaygadgets.com/2007/11/03/fuji ... 10-laptop/
more than I wanted to spend, but met all of my size, sturdiness, screen quality, weight, requirements
I"m sure it will be cheaper at COMEX next month....
and according to my insider at Dell, their E series line comes out next month, they are supposed to be nice

Psssst..... don't tell them but it's actually good to recommend Macs to Aliya, Chocolate, Possum, etc.... if they buy one and have problems they will start bugging BoD and leave the rest alonebaloo wrote:Aliya, get an Apple. Slap! I got the Dell Inspiron 1525 that the wonderful Jedi upgraded to Vista Premium and 3GB. Really good laptop I loves it
"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"
