Recommendations for printer/fax/scanner.

Post by Scrummy Mummy » 26th Sep, '08, 15:24

I need a new printer/fax/scanner. Main use will be printing B+W documents, but occasionally will print photos and use fax/scan.

Need something:

(1) Compact
(2) Not too expensive
(3) That doesn't use shedloads of ink

Any suggestions?

Also, have tons of ink of now defunct existing (Canon) multi-function printer. Any (polite) ideas what I can do with it?

I like this one. Have not used all of its functions yet but it works fine and quality of printing is pretty good. Price is decent too.

Why not get a canon one which will use all the ink you have....?

Tried that. The printers which use that ink are old models, not on sale any more.

Thanks. Will have a look at it. Are you using lots of ink?

I have a HP OfficeJet 7410. Prints fine, Faxes ok, Scan ok. Just not good for photo printing despite the photo cartridge and photo paper. I just don't bother with printing photos myself anymore.

Not really but I do a moderate amount of printing for the most part.
