Re: MACS
nope not the problem, when Office x crashes I have to create new user..
user works fine, just not the excel,, I then created new user and four out of five couldn't either access anything, servers, folders, or even change desktop layout, then on the 5th attempt, from another user, I got one that seems to work..
Who knows.. dodgy is all I can say.. I am going to install fusion on it to run pc software, wish me luck

Sorry, but I can't help but laugh when people buy a Mac then want to run Windows software on it.
So…if you wish to wish a wish, you may swish for fish with my Ish wish dish.
Re: MACS
The Microsoft stuff I run on my Mac is "Microsoft-for-Mac" stuff - Office only, for me. If you're trying to run MS stuff that isn't specifically for Mac, I can imagine you'd have all kinds of weird stuff going on. You aren't able to find Mac versions of the type of programs you want to use?

laugh all you want, mr IT guru , it's only because the IT won't let me install the program on my PC, So since I have admin rights on my MAC, that's where the program is going, because they is ascared of Macs I have the power
Slinks, nope, no xcelcius for Mac

Ah, yes, just what IT Departments love, users trying to circumvent the policies. They are going to love you.
Actually, I am well surprised they let you plug a non-Company approced device onto the network.

Re: MACS
No idea what xcelcius is, but can you find a program for Mac that does the same thing? Mr. S can't run his 3-D modeling software on the Mac, but he found a Mac program that does about the same thing (admittedly he doesn't spend much time using 3-D modeling software anymore, so the program he found works for when he needs it).canuck wrote:Slinks, nope, no xcelcius for Mac

Maybe Bill Gates will let his wife get an iPhone nowBoD wrote:Read today that there is a company developing a Windows Mobile emulator for the iPhone. Now that does amuse me
(I read somewhere that she admitted she'd kind of like an iPhone but Bill has a 'No Apple Anything' rule in their family )
