Assuming you're running windows: click on a blank part of the taskbar and drag it to where you want it.

left click on the task bar and hold down. move the pointer down to the bottom of your screen and release it. That should place it back where it was.

Failing that, buy a five bladed robotic vacuum cleaner.
So…if you wish to wish a wish, you may swish for fish with my Ish wish dish.

OK, got it back at the bottom, but now I can't see the IE page open icon or the other icons for stuff I have open. The only way I can get to IE or email (for example) is to alt tab between them because I can't see the blasted things at the bottom (goddammit, I feel like my mother [smilie=23_3.gif] )

Click and drag the top edge of the taskbar to resize it.

[smilie=rotflmao.gif] I have done this so many times. I can't even tell you how I fixed it - just dragged and screamed and fiddled until it miraculously stopped whatever it was doing.

Well, next time just re-boot it, Az, seems to have straightened out the secondary problem for me [smilie=yahoo.gif]

Edit: I'm all sorted out now  thanks for the help everyone [smilie=kissing2.gif]

Oooh, no, no, no, BFG! I think I would fast go over my computer budget with all the replacements I'd need as a result of the hammer..... [smilie=rotflmao.gif] (It was bad enough when the small slinkies removed EVERY SINGLE key off my old laptop a couple years ago....... )

Now that it's fixed, right click the task bar and make sure "Lock the Taskbar" is checked. This should stop you from being able to move it again.

Taskbar should always be locked, it makes life just that little bit less complicated...

I'd like my task bar to go from top left to bottom right.

Now. What's a task bar?

it's a little known bar in a famous pub in Singapore where only task beer is served....

Task bar either belongs to the bottom with auto-hide or on the left... duh...

f you think about it, it's probably more logical to have it at the top, near where all programs put their menus. I'll try it for a while and see whether I like it.
