retrieving saved .doc file

Here's the situation:

I saved a doc file on sunday (Most likely on my thumbdrive) and can't remember what I saved it as or which folder!

Can't retrieve it now! I tried to go to word software and look under 'file' but have opened lots of word files since so the one I want is not on the list anymore.

so my question is, is there anyway to retrieve that word file that I saved?

please say yes, then tell me how!

do a search of all drives for .doc files, if you have absolutely gobs of them, see if you can narrow the search with dates, as you said it was Sunday,, so check back for 1 week.
