just learned from someone in the Netherlands that apparently there the S3 is shipped with WiFi in powersaving mode. this means it switches off after 2 minutes (and automagically returns to 4G, which is expensive, obviously).

Rubbish.

You can tell from the battery graph (and the fact that i get push notifications all the time) that wifi doesn't automatically switch off. There is a setting to switch wifi off when in sleep mode, but that defaults to always on.

The S3 is flawless.
