Interesting. More info here, including test page and workaround.

http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/article/4 ... flaw/?fp=4

According to the test page my GS3 isn't affected.

I think it's not only the phone but also the operating system version.

Galaxy S (GT-I9000) using Firmware 2.3.6 is not vulnerable.

Thanks K

Whereas my GS2 is :(

And some weird stuff happening - like my work email disappearing, some but not all contacts...

Daff have you tried running software update on your GS2? It appears that Samsung already patched the GS3 a while ago, but didn't put as much priority on patching the older Galaxy models.

I haven't - and the IT guys weren't aware of the issue so not much luck there. Will give it a go, thanks for suggestion Jedi.

I think this has been overshadowed somewhat by everybody taking the piss out of Apple Maps :)

No security flaws or map issues with my Blackberry.

Tried that, still having issues but just with my work email - getting gmail etc through ok , but can't receive / send work email. It just stops syncing and will only come through after deleting the address and all emails and re-installing. Takes around an hour each time. Driving me crazy.
