2011 F1 Singapore

Post by mukeshgulia » 9th Apr, '11, 20:14

Folks,
Help me with F1 Tickets. Buying for the first time has no idea about the grandstands...
1. Its a 3 day event. Ticket Price mentioned on this page h**p:/*www.singaporegp.sg/media/news_20110301.php is for the complete event or just a single day??
2. Which grandstand to opt for? I am more interested in Linkin Park rather than F1. Which grandstand will suit best? The website points Band will perform in Pandang main stage. Spectators at the Stamford Grandstand enjoy close proximity to the main entertainment stage in the Padang.
3. From which grandstand we can see the presentation/award/celebration ceremony after the race.

I am pretty confused and dont want my money to go in waste for this. :)

If you just want to see Linkin Park just get the walkabout ticket that gives you access to the zone where they are playing

You would have to take the main grandstand to be able to see the ceremony after. The one that is in front of the pit. Since 2008, I have been getting the walkabout tickets which I think would be more than enough for a fan as you will get a better feel of the race. It gets a little crowded on race day though.

It is labeled that tickets are bundled for 3 days while there is an option to get day passes which would cost you more. Not worth it unless you would just like to see the practice session.

I just stayed on the walkabout on the weekend grand prix and it was always a surreal experience. It was a lot better this time because they offered to rent out fan vision sets so that you could watch the whole race and commentaries right where you are seated.

I plan on getting grandstand seats on next year's grand prix. Though it still is a great feeling to come so close to these cars.
