Torchwood : Children of the Earth

Post by daffodil » 8th Jul, '09, 13:36

Watched the first episode of the new series and it's off to a cracking start!

It's got Jack, Gwen and Ianto, naughty dealings by the Government, scary children stuff, secret agencies....and that's just for starters ;)

It's being shown over 5 consecutive nights, make sure Foxtel IQ is set to record! [smilie=groovy.gif]

Fan-bloody-tastic.

UK SciFi TV at it's best.

Yes, other countries have good TV, but this was a cut above most others.

Yes, bloody excellent.

Just wondering what happens next... is this the beginning of Season 3? Can't find any info on it.

I've only managed to watch about ten minutes from episode 2. It seems that the future of mankind is in the hands of a girl from the valleys. One quivers in one's boots.

Need to try and get hold of episode 1 I think.

I think at the end of one of the episodes, it says a full season will be aired in December with a double header on Xmas day.

Must have missed that... there was certainly nothing at the end of the last one as I was hoping.

Edit: Nope apparently that's it for Season 3 and Season 4 is not confirmed.

Finally got around to watching the last episodes and have to agree with the boys - fan-bloody-tastic indeed!

Captain Jack paid a personal price for his involvement in the original abductions, and seemingly severs his connections with Torchwood for ever. But will he be back?!!

Hopefully there will be more Torchwood, a classy series for sure. Well, it is set in Wales after all, boyos.... [smilie=groovy.gif]

Season 4 confirmed according to Wiki:

On 7 June 2010, it was confirmed that Torchwood will be returning as a co-production between BBC Cymru Wales, BBC Worldwide and US premium entertainment network Starz for a fourth series consisting of 10 episodes. John Barrowman and Eve Myles will be returning to the series which will feature locations from around the world.

The only positive thing about Cardiff is how close the rugby ground is to the city centre. Oh, and how close the train station is so you can get back to civilisation after the game.
