Has anyone been? Is it any good?

The wine list looks scary expensive (I don't drink but $80 ish ++ for the house wines looks overpriced)

Any other recommendations for outdoorsy place? I was told that Mimolette's food sucks, and White Rabbit is still ironing out opening-week kinks.

Graze is lovely but drinks are hideously expensive!! I like it a lot. What about Flutes - not quite the grassy setting but lovely verandah?? or how about Au Petit Salut - nice there outside on the grass??

The food is great there! Esp the beef cheek.

I'll be going to White Rabbit tomorrow. Will let you know.

Edit: The food and service at Mimolette is alot better now. I'd suggest sitting indoor unless you like the smell of the 'countryside'.

I've only eaten at Graze for brunch myself (which is fab), but have been told by friends that dinner there is lovely.

I went for breakfast one Sunday morning. I had OJ, coffee, bacon, tomato, potato and toast and it came to $40. Great place but way too expensive!

I really like Graze as a dinner venue - checkout the black and white movies playing in the courtyard whilst having a pre-dinner cocktail.

at those prices, i'm beginning to think we should start a restaurant too. still have lots of B&W Kurosawa movies that i can project on the wall outside for people to enjoy while they sit and drink their expensive drinks...

Man, that was a fabulous dinner. The seafood platter was out of this world! I didn't think stuff like that was available outside Australia. Two huge platters for four, each platter heavy with an enormous Maine lobster, gigantic tiger prawns, oysters, scallops, and a whole seabass, green salad, and hot fat chips. The meat platter was gorgeous too... The wild mushroom risotto and osso bucco pappardelle were scrummy. Three bottles of Moet made it all sweeter. Did I mention we had fabulous appetizers too? Two servings of pork belly with scratching and some delicious seared salmon thingy. Whew. That was one huge feast for a table of six.

The service was fantastic, the wait staff genuinely gracious and friendly, and the owner (manager? chef? dunno actually) came out to greet us and surprised us with two complimentary huge platters of sampler-sized EVERYTHING on their dessert menu.

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed.It was not cheap but it was worth every penny. I'll be back!
