A short walk around the corner from Novena to Balestier Road and you'll find a wealth of great eating places for local bites... Boon Tong Kee for chicken rice, Founders Bak Kut Teh for a great Bak Kut Teh, Tandoori Corner for good Indian food... All depends on what you're looking for...?

Good recommendations Duck

There is also the Chicken Rice place opposite Novena Church and a lot of people swear by Peach Garden ( although I have been twice and think its only OK)

Wee Nam Kee for Chicken Rice. Problem is that Novena Ville has been sold enbloc, so if I still lived there i'd be quite upset

Thanks for your recommendations. I'm up for any cuisine as long as they are yummy. LOL. By the way, are there any good food/reasonably-priced food within Novena Sq? Or are they all the usual over-priced, not-nice shopping mall grub?

I could highly recommend Professor Brawn Cafe in Novena Square, their food is good but what really sets this place apart is the fact that they are a social enterprise with an inclusive team of staff of varying abilities, really makes you feel like you are contributing to the community (particularly those in the community less advantaged) when you eat here.

Had a look online at their menu, interesting names. You're right, it seems a meaningful place, hope the food will be as inspirational, :P Will head down for a look. Thanks, mate!
