Any chance of changing the default URL colour?
I've noticed that URLs in a post default to a mid-blue, which doesn't contrast well with the blueish background on every second post in a thread. I haven't found a way to change the overall colour scheme for the forums (fora? forii?). Does this bother anyone? Is it possible to change the URL colour? Would anyone mind if it was changed? Any chance of darkening the colour for URLs so they stand out a bit better (maybe 000080 or 0000BF)? Or is there another/better way to handle this?
Also, not an issue, but sometimes URLs appear with a solid underline and sometimes with a broken underline. There doesn't seem to be any reason why it displays as one or the other. Is this a PHP quirk, or is it something that can be controlled?

That is so weird. Bender, I emailed Afroman yesterday morning to ask the very same thing.
Despite us both being incredibly precise and anal, there is one huge difference. Bender appears to be able to cook.

I know that. I thought you'd forward it to him.
edit: Ok I realise I did wrongly say email - at that time my coffee was still brewing.

solid underline = link that you haven't clicked
dotted underline = link that you have clicked
dotted underline = link that you have clicked

I think the link colours have changed slighty as well

All these sound too complicated for me...
Re: Any chance of changing the default URL colour?
Is there some great trick to making the linked part say something other than just being the actual www address? As I recall the old forum had little pop up boxes that walked you through it.baloo wrote:I think the link colours have changed slighty as well

If you use Post Reply instead of Quick Reply, there is a button for the URL formatting.slinky wrote:Thanks - will try it out next time I have a link to post

Re: Any chance of changing the default URL colour?
I do use it, but it only does this part: www & I just stick the web address in between (where the w's are - if this works this time)
Edit: can't get it to show.....
