Why weren't people who coined that expression honest and refer to them as the Bloody Dreadful Twos??????

True. But then the upside's better now, too.
Will you have two two at the same time at some point?

Sadly yes, sort of. MsA1 will be 3 May 31, and MsA2 will be 2 May 14.
Actually there are upsides to her being two, full sentences etc, is useful and gets things when asked, tells jokes lol. To be honest being a mother is a BLAST and I do love it.

Crying babies are fine!! And they dont move lol. It is the constant "Nonononono" or the "I want Barney" or the running when you shout stop, or the refusal to eat food and then they throw it on the floor that drives you nuts
But then you get the "I love oo Mama" and the little arms around your neck and big kisses and little people who love to cuddle up to you and read a book together or watch a video and it is all worth it!!!

Imagine what the offspring of MsA1 and BBII would be like...
Actually the thing that horrifies me is when people say "OMG MsA1 is SUCH a mini me of you!" I am sure I am not anything like a feral 2.5 year old....
Apparently we walk the same way, sleep the same way, shout and scream the same way, have identical way of talking with hands, and we both appreciate a good glass of bubbly.

I may have heard once or twice that slinkette can yell at her brother and sound just like me......
(Sometimes he yells back "You're NOT mom you know, I don't have to listen to you!"

More terrifying is that MsA1 is adopted and we still are like identical twins. IMHO no matter how you get your child you get The Child meant for you.

I was going to say something about the nurture vs. nature debate
People always told me my whole life that I looked so much like my mom -- but aside from being about the same height, that was the only resemblance - I've always believed it had more to do with mannerisms, tone of voice, etc. that I had picked up from her that made people think that (I was adopted too - but you knew that
)

LOL I flick the terrible Twos like I would a fly. Just wait until the totally terrible teenage years kick in. You once again get the constant “nooooooo”, the “I want” (that is when they are speaking to you) and they can go from smiles to screams in seconds for absolutely no logical reason. As for the hugs and kisses, they ration them!!!. AND they are now too big to lock in a cupboard.

I thought of Mid-Poss last night. We made the mistake of going down to the restaurant next to Luna Park for dinner, just as the teen population of Sydney descended on Luna Park for an "Under 18s Festival".
Never seen so much Supre in one place, outside of the store.
(The ambulances about 8pm were a bit of a worry.)
