Who is next?

Couple of week ago we had taxi drivers stripping. Today the pensioners are giving it a go. Who will it be next week? :o

Let's hope M doesn't feel the need to protest anytime soon.

Cabbies protesting because of the late night fares? Can't ever remember sucessfully catching a cab in Australia late night......if it's happened it's been rare indeed!

Somehow not surprised to see taxi drivers stripping when one of the organisers is called Jazz Randyboy.

As for late night taxis in Melbourne, a joke indeed. I do remember standing in a taxi queue somewhere near the casino for over four hours one night a few weeks prior to Christmas, it would have been easier to book a room somewhere.

One of the complaints the pensioners have is about the payment rate and indexation of the Age Pension.

Public servants' pensions also are a problem - they are defined benefit schemes, so the pension rate isn't linked to fund performance. The pension rate is indexed by CPI (consumer price index), in contrast to the politician's pension scheme, which is indexed by MTAWE (male total average weekly earnings). Guess which index is higher?
