Re: HDBs
I am not a housing agent but surely could invite you to my HDB to have a look and also to show you Telok Blangah Hill and some nearby areas (e.g.Henderson, Tiong Bahru, Tanjong Pagar). We could take a bus ride to Telok Blangah Crescent or take the MRT from Harbourfront.
I could send you my contact number via u2u. I am free most of the time except tomorrow and Wednesday.

Thanks Azzam, but I'm stuck in the salt mines. Boo hoo me.
I'd love to hear about it tho. Good luck!

A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

BFG, no house party. Some of you might give my mum a heart-attack. . And also my HDB flat will be overcrowded if all of you were to turn up.

Azzam, did you go to see the Tiong Bahru place? I'd love to hear about it.

Re: HDBs
I went yesterday - what she showed me was not in one of the nicer streets though. It's over a coffee shop and at 2700, not close enough.
The nicer, deco looking ones with good interiors, she says, go for much higher prices.
So, struck out there. But no rush..

Re: HDBs
Sorry about the flat, but glad that you have plenty of time to find your next home. Just think of all the properties you get to peek inside in the meantime. I'm a terrible voyeur like that. Everytime I enter someone's home, by the time I leave I've imagined how the place would look with all my stuff in it.
Better luck next time...and maybe then I'll be free!

Re: HDBs
Are you referring to the shophouses on Blair Road itself or those along the side lanes? I'd have thought they would cost a bit more than that. I saw a few when the contractors were doing renovation work. Big drool.azzam wrote:Saw an an awesome shophouse in Spottiswoode for 8000 - who wants to move in with me?
Re: HDBs
To think I turned down a Blair Road place when I first got here - when I was an expat wife
"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"
