When in doubt, post it in here.

And a generation of Sri Lankan teenage boys breathes a collective sigh of relief.

OMG, FM, not to sound blur but...really?
A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

My first thought on reading the news articles about him - how will they handle that?

edit: Just had to go find it on the Beeb site:

After a failed marriage Sir Arthur moved to Sri Lanka, then called Ceylon, in 1956, where he lived with a business partner and his family, and pursued his interest in scuba-diving.

Yep, s'true, I'm afraid. Or at least well, well known. Which I appreciate is not always the same thing.

Edit: BBC says he was cleared by an investigation in the 90s. So perhaps it wasn't...

Also read on the BBC that four British tabloids are about to be forced to print front page retractions/apologies over their coverage of the McCann case. Plus damages. That'll be an interesting one.

I hear he had just finished dinner and was having coffee and chocolate mints. Unfortunately he choked on an Under Eight...

I'm not denying the man's talents, M, but him being cleared does not necessarily mean FM's statement is untrue.

Mine too, although it's admittedly sappy. :)

[edited to add:]
that is exactly what it means, k.

and unsubstantiated rumours do not mean it's true.

this concerned one dodgy newspaper coming up with a story which was retracted after police investigations.

i'd prefer real proof over just one stupid article from a questionable source and consider it utterly tasteless to bring this up now...
