Freakin mayonaise like shite

Can someone tell me why EVERYTHING I buy for lunch has to have some form of mayonaise in it? Its not even the real stuff just some horrible slimy tasting stuff. And most places I get lunch from (when I dont do my Joe Lunchbox) has this! Issit remotely possible (apart from the make your own sandwich places) to get something that is not drowned in this ghastly stuff?? [smilie=23_3.gif]

For some reason, Australian manufacturers of mayonnaise seem to think it is made from vegetable oil, sugar and some kind of colloidal protein. Maybe you have the same problem there.

I wonder what people understand by Mayonnaise. As far as I'm concerned, if it is not an emulsion of virgin olive oil, egg yolks, vinegar and Dijon mustard (the latter to taste and optional), it is not mayonnaise. No matter what it says on the jar.
