North Korean Artillery Attack

Post by T2K » 23rd Nov, '10, 15:56

These guys get away with so much, and they will get away with this too. Some accusations, some mild threats, maybe some "talks" will be called off. And life will go on. South Korea likes the status quo too much, the alternative if a united Korea is too scary - 50 years of propping up the undeveloped North is not appealing.

Edit, here's a link, I have no idea why India is in the URL.

Geez, that sounds like a lot of shelling! 50-60 houses on fire?!

Just preparing the ground for the Son's accent onto throne - it will be the orwellian equivalent of the trinity - the Dead Leader, the f**ked up Secretary Son and the inbred Grandson... all manifestly inculcated into every facet of life in North Korea.... what a shit hole... Unfortunately solutions are not too easy to come by

It's a ploy by the North Koreans to get more money/food/allowance for their nuclear facility.

"We will only stop shelling you if you give us more [whatever]".

Works everytime. Dumbass South Koreans and their Sepo allies.

But more importantly, the wedding of next year is to take place on Apr 29th. Doesn't clash with HK7s, my trip to Vegas, Phuket 10s....so yeah, that's OK with me.

Reckon we, as Commonwealth citizens in a Commonwealth country will get the day off?

High everyone remember me :)

He's the REAL story...
The skirmish began when Pyongyang warned the South to halt military drills in the area, according to South Korean officials. When Seoul refused and began firing artillery into disputed waters, albeit away from the North Korean shore, the North retaliated by bombarding the small island of Yeonpyeong, which houses South Korean military installations and a small civilian population.

Quick remember this before it gets 1984enized.

Ah now, come on. North Korea are clearly the bad guys, just look at their uniforms and it's obvious.

Of course! How could I miss that. Goose stepping during BIG PARADES with a zillion tanks and such roaring down the main street. Only baddies have big armored vehicle and missile parades. Oh, and Singapore too on National Day, but that's different. Or is it? NK and SG both have hereditary leadership too...

Look NK is a democracy you do get to vote! although there is only one person to vote for... Unlike SG where Hmmm... skip that!

The bad guys are only the guys who will do not play jiggy with America. Democracy, despotism, communism etc is totally irrelevant.

Exactly! That and the hats. And the fact they only seem to have two expressions, dull and pissed off about something. (Maybe pissed off about the fact that they are the bad guys and will only ever be credited as "Bad Guy No. 3 etc etc)
