PC Disposal

Post by Spike » 26th Nov, '08, 12:45

I got so fed up with trying to get my home/business PC to work without randomly crashing I decided to swap over to a spare PC, which I also had a problem with due to incompatible parts. So I gave up after spending a few hundred dollars on getting techies round to try and sort it out and bought a Compaq Presario SR5680CF for $1,000.

So I now have two tower PC carcasses, with a mother board and other bits and pieces, but no drives, to dispose of. Anyone know of an eco friendly way to dispose of them? I normally give my discarded techno stuff to a charity I support but I don't want to give them junk that doesn't work. I've also got two DVD RW drives that came out of them if anyone wants to make me an offer.

Put them downstairs in your condo somewhere visible, they will be gone in nanoseconds. I left my bike outside my gate for 5 mins and had to forcibly stop someone from taking it away last week :D
"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"

Rag and bone man wouldn't take my TV because he said it was too old. Any other suggestions for disposal of PC's, TV's etc
Children aren't colouring books. You don't get to fill them with your favorite colours.

I eventually asked the condo manager what to do with them and he just sent round the cleaners who whisked away the offending articles, along with a large pair of curtains and a bunch of other assorted useless stuff I didn't know what to do with. Anything technical that works I take to the Cheshire Home, where they either use or sell it. It's just the non working stuff that can be a pain to dispose of.

If anyone has working TVs, PCs, laptops or other electrical stuff to get rid of, let me know and I'll give you the contact at the Singapore Cheshire Home.
