"I really love you" she said. "Is that the champagne talking" he asked. "No" she laughed. "That's me talking to the champagne"

Do Japanese people actually write haiku? Or is it just British teenagers who are forced to at school
edit as the plural of Haiku is apparently Haiku

I would imagine they are a bit like Sudoku. I don't know any japanese who knew what Sudoku was before the big craze started a few years ago.
So…if you wish to wish a wish, you may swish for fish with my Ish wish dish.

made Canadian kids write them too, and I think if we had to suffer so should the younger generation, look at the entertainment value, and you thought in school you'd never need to know about haiku

You've got the lingo down pat, Kooky.
Life is comprised of infinite possibilities; some known, others a mystery and destined to remain so. And what of the vast unknown, the realms beyond which knowledge has no established boundaries or parameters? Who is to say what exists or what is possible?

We never did Haiku at schoool. In fact, I'm embarassed to admit, I'd never heard of them until American friends on a message board went nuts trying to outdo each other with them, about 5 years ago.

"Haiku", isn't that what the All Blacks do before a game?? Or is it a Japanese puzzle game?
Prayer has no place in public schools. Just like facts have no place in organised religion.
