Re: Sports Injury practices
he apologised profusely explaining it was one of those days. The fact that he apologised has already put him in the top 3% of medical paractitioners in Singapore as far as I am concerned.
Diagnosis: "Oh, that's a noisy knee", Osteo Arthritis is a given, suspects cartledge floating around and possible ligament damage too.
It's off to the MRI I go.

Elbows from the look of the waiting room. I guess the Wimbeldon final inspired many sedentry people to dig out their old tennis racquets and start swinging.

Sounds painful and potentially expensive.baloo wrote:he apologised profusely explaining it was one of those days. The fact that he apologised has already put him in the top 3% of medical paractitioners in Singapore as far as I am concerned.

Oh good. He's back on my recommendation list. When I worked with him in the past he was always polite and professional. I remember him telling me that a great deal of his business was coming from golfing enthusiasts with bad technique and high flying (literally) businessmen with 'tennis elbow' from lugging heavy laptops around. Sounds like this is still the case.

Re: Sports Injury practices
oh dear... i have that in both knees. hockey, skiing and fully geared army speed marches don't mix, i reckon.baloo wrote:suspects cartledge floating around and possible ligament damage too.
anywho: it is 90% certain inoperable, as ligament damage (overstrectched) can only be repaired by cutting, shortening and reattaching, which has a large change of going wrong. best bet is physio and exercises to strengthen the upper leg muscles which will then take ver the stabilizing function from the ligaments.
look at it from the bright side: you'll be able to predict changes in the weather by the increasing pain in your knees.

I wonder how many Death Metal tracks are written in MRI machines.

4 hours of golf equals more sport.baloo wrote:heh. I reckon I was racking up more hours of participtaing in sports a week than you rotund robert.
4 hours of riding around in a golf buggy does not equal more exercise!
