The 100 most beautiful cars: 20-1
...as voted by the Brits...
Some classics in there, but some that don't deserve to be in the top 100, let alone the top 20

At least I've owned 2. A Mini and an Alfa GTV coupe.
But how can they leave out the Mk IV Escort, the Fiat Uno and maybe even the Audi TT?

Saw this the other day too. Some great one (Astons mostly!) but also some craps ones. WTF is a french car doing in there?

An old Citroen is a beautiful thing. Would make my list, along with (in no particular order)
Aston Martin DB5 (also the 9. Dammit, any of them)
VW Camper - type 2
Land Rover Series 2
Morris Minor
Mini
An old Mercedes 200 (CL? GL? can't remember)

A car that will soon make these Top 20 lists is the latest Maserati Gran Turismo. very very sexy car that keeps getting better everytime I see one. Lovely lines.

No.18 - 1964 swb 250 GT should be number 1. Tastes are changing.
Facel Vega would be no.2 for me.
Countach - no.3
No Duesy in there or I'd take that as no.2
No.22 Cord roadster would be my no.4
Ah. I like them all, just not in that order.

Don't we get any points for the Austin Allegro? The Ford Granada? (S'pose that's American really, but what the Hell is that doing in the Telegraph's list?) The Vauxhall Viva? All in mustard orange, obviously.
How else were little old men going to get around?

Oi, watch it. I never actually owned one, I just learnt to drive in one. My iconic teenage car is the magnificent Ford Anglia 105E.BoD wrote:The Granada is actually in there somewhere

This is just so objective. To me, the Bugatti and the Chevrolet are butt ugly.
I have to agree with Baloon about the Maserati, though. Nearly as drool-worthy as the DB9...

Re: The 100 most beautiful cars: 20-1
I've also owned two of them, one being the same but with slightly different underwear ('66 MINI Cooper). The other I still own but has been in climate controlled storage for nigh on 26 years my '57 Austin-Healy 100-6.
This taken not long before being put into storage:
Also had a lesser cousin of one of them as well:

That's a beautiful, beautiful car, SMS.
You must miss it horribly. But look on the bright side - it could probably buy you rather a large house now!
