Vietnamese restaurant?
Can anyone recommend a good one?
A woman walked into a pub and asked the barman for a double entendre. So he gave it to her.

Viet Lang, used to be in Chjimes then moved to the Arts House, was always a favourite of ours.

Went to one in Ho Chi Minh a few years ago but can't remember where it is for the life of me!

Re: Vietnamese restaurant?
Does it need to be upscale or just authentic? If you want authentic, 169 Joo Chiat Road. Can't write down the actual name, it's in Vietnamese!

Thanks for the recommendations! Decisions, decisions... have to admit, am leaning toward the Joo Chiat option, for authenticity and crazy ambiance.

There's a nice one next to the Asian Civilisation Museum, I don't remember the name

I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book. Groucho Marx

Best pho and banh mi I've had in Singapore: Nam Nam Noodle Bar, basement of Raffles City Shopping Centre, and another one at Wheelock Place. The wagyu pho is unbelieveable,a nd the pork belly banh mi is awesome.
Re: Vietnamese restaurant?
I tried the chicken pho at Wheelock Place today -- delicious!! I'll definitely be returning!
Re: Vietnamese restaurant?
Somehow I always end up having the same thing (wagyu pho) over and over again... I have to try other stuff on their menu at some point, they all look delicious.
