You're not going to Swindon, are you? Oh no, that's where I have to go on my holidays every year. That and Redcar.

Y'know you spend so much time here - have you ever thought about investing in a little pool villa?Fat Bob wrote:Hahahah, that's the weekend we're there! Oh, well, next time then. At worst next April. Probably before.

My friends parents did the whole retire to Portugal thing, and from what I can gather they get bored and doldrums as well...

I think it's the retire bit rather than the where bit. If you don't have sufficient hobbies, interests, things to "get involved in", other "retirees" to socialise with, it can get boring. But Low Season is boring anyway.Tas wrote:My friends parents did the whole retire to Portugal thing, and from what I can gather they get bored and doldrums as well...

Hey stranger, you're back - how is Penang? We have friends living there who moved there from here a couple of years ago.

Re: Phuket
Hi Sardy! I'll start a new thread as there seems to be very little about Penang on this forum.... and why should there be, I guess.
I've not really been away... I do check in on here from time to time but don't have very much to say about Singapore these days. Would like to get back to Sing for a social trip, but fat chance of that at the moment
Still wondering where my Phuket pics went.... who nicked them? C'mon on, who was it?
